Your Appointment: What to Expect
When you check in at the front desk, you will be greeted with a smiling face. The front desk personnel will make sure that all of your paperwork is up to date and complete, and answer any questions you may have about your insurance.
One of our friendly hygienists will meet you in the lobby, introducing themselves and escorting you to a dental exam room. Your hygienist will go over all of your concerns with you, and let you know what to expect for your comprehensive examination.
We take a full series of radiographs for diagnostic purposes, allowing us to catch any developing problems as early as possible. The hygienist will perform a thorough assessment of your gums and supporting structures, checking for gum recession and any signs of oral cancer.
Following the x-rays and visual exam, the hygienist will perform a complete tooth cleaning, and polish up your teeth to make your tooth surfaces less hospitable to daily biofilm (plaque) buildup. After reviewing your radiographs, the dentist will come in to visit with you to get to know you better, and to review your oral health history with you.
The dentist will conduct a thorough exam, and go over your radiographs and the state of your dental health with you. Images from our intraoral cameras display on TV screens in the exam rooms, so that you can see exactly what the dentist is talking about, and take a look inside your own mouth!
As a courtesy to other patients and staff, we ask for a 48-hour notice if you need to reschedule an appointment. Failure to do so may result in a missed appointment fee.
We also ask that you confirm your appointments within 48 hours prior to your appointment date and time. Failure to do so could result in the loss of your appointment time and a missed appointment fee.
Please be aware that unconfirmed appointments cannot be guaranteed.

Our dentists are happy to answer any oral health questions you may have, and if needed, to explore your treatment options and reservations with you. We are dedicated to co-planning your care with you, and ensuring that you are comfortable every step of the way.
We offer sedation options to help you get through your treatment, as well as many comfort amenities, like memory foam chairs and personal headphones to block out noise.
Following your cleaning, we encourage you to schedule your next routine preventative care appointment with our front desk. If you need treatment, we will schedule it at that time, and can answer questions you may have about insurance coverage and payment options.
